I am Seriously tired of hearing pastors, evangelists, or other "outspoken" Christians refer to the Bride of Christ as a whore! It angers me that people would be so ignorant to call what Christ deems as pure and acceptable as a whore when really who they're calling a whore is nothing more than an impostor of Christ's true bride!
I was watching a movie called, "Lord Save us From Your Followers" in which one guy went on about some philosopher who said about the Church, "The Bride of Christ is a whore but she's my mother." And honestly, I understand the point. I really do. Many who call themselves Christians turn from what God calls them to do and follows anything else not having to do with Him. But I'm pretty sure if you are not following Jesus...YOU ARE NOT HIS BRIDE!
Anyway, that movie was interesting but liberally dumb...if there is such a thing as being liberal and dumb...
The point being: Just do what God calls us to do...love, serve, evangelize
